The quality and longevity of your spray tan is highly affected by your preparation and after care.
We suggest that before scheduling your appointment you thoroughly read our
instructions below to ensure the best possible results.
Before Your Bronze
A perfect glow all starts with the proper preparation. The night before you are going to want to shave, and exfoliate your skin, NOT the day of your appointment.
Exfoliation is the most important part of getting prepared for your session. It not only removes any remaining spray tan but also dead skin. This gives us a clean and even slate to spray on and promotes even coverage and lengthens the duration of your tan.
All waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials, or massages should be done before your appointment.
When arriving to your appointment we ask that you have clean skin. No deodorant, lotion, makeup, or perfume! Anything remaining on the skin will block the color in that area. This can result in your tan having an uneven appearance, white spots and/or streaking. Wear loose, dark clothing that is easy to take on and off. Also wear flip flops, closed toed shoes will rub off the spray tan! We can’t wait to see you!
During Your Bronze
When you arrive one of our highly trained technicians will discuss with you your desired results and evaluate your skin. They will then recommend a shade customized to you that will complement your skin tone and achieve your desired results.
Your spray tan technician will the take you to a private room where you will receive your spray tan. Once in your private spray room we will go over in detail all of the necessary steps to follow. We will then step out to set your color, at which time you will undress. You may wear whatever you feel the most comfortable in for the application of the tan, just remember that bottoms are mandatory. We do offer free disposable bottoms and tops to our clients if needed.
When your technician returns, they will apply your spray tan by hand to ensure flawless results. Remember there is nothing to worry about, you do you we will handle your spray tan!
After Your Bronze
Our Rapid and Classic tans have two different set times. Set time is the time between the application of your tan to when you rinse. While your tan is setting expect the cosmetic bronzer on your skin to get darker and darker, DO NOT freak out. Once you shower you will see this color guide disappear and you will be able to see your real results.
During this time you can NOT get wet at all.
- No washing your hands
- No crying
- No raindrops
- No sweating
- No doing dishes (you know the drill)
Your first shower should be lukewarm water and just a rinse. No soaps or lotions should be applied during or after your first shower. In the shower you will see the cosmetic bronzer rinsing off of your skin. Don’t fret this is not your tan, again it is just the guiding bronzer.
The following day you should shower using soap. Make sure not to use, rags, loofahs, or body scrubs on your skin. Also for the duration of your tan NO dove or products high in alcohol should be used. We carry full-sized and travel size body washes and lotions that will compliment your new bronzed tan.
The best investment you can make to maintain your tan is proper body wash and MOISTURIZER. Make sure to keep the skin moisturized at least 2 times a day, as this will help extend your tan as well as fade evenly. Also again, remember don’t use any products high in alcohol or mineral oils, they will strip your tan or cause extreme blotchiness.
If in the sun know that your Spray tan solution does give you a beautiful bronze but it does not protect your skin from UV rays. SPF usage is recommended. All tanning and sunscreen products should be oil free, and no aerosol. You should only be using lotion based products. We carry a variety of sunscreen products that will enhance and protect your spray tan.
